March 28, 2016

How are yall doing? this week i have had a really cool week. On Tuesday we went out to a members house for dinner. They are like 85 years old, and their names are the Enkeys. Brother Enkey has officially lost it. He is crazy. Sister Enkey made this really weird food where she put random vegetables with chicken and soy sauce, and fried it all up. It tasted fine, but it was way random. After dinner Brother Enkey said hey have yall rode our zip line? Now me and my companion being the crazy young men that we are wanted to do it. Well the back of his house is a hill, and he  has this big back porch. The zip line is going off his porch, but as you get to the end of the porch where the zip line is the saports for the porch are gone, so you have to take this leep of faith to get to where it all happens, and the zip line is about as red neck as it comes. It is like a pully with two ropes for handles and then at the end of one rope is a engine fan belt to put your feet in. luckley we both made it down that thing alive. Then On Wednesday we had some elders come on exchanges with us. I also bought a suit for 4 bucks. I really like it to. Thursday and Friday we had some really good lessons. but the coolest day this week was Saturday. We had 3 Miracles happen, they are not in order, but they are all cool. First we were out talking to people on the street, and we had a really good lesson. then after the lesson the guy got our number and when we said can we have your number he said ill just text you, which usually means that he wont, but he did, and it is super awesome. Next we were biking down this hill. This hill goes down, and then curves to the left halfway down the hill, and right at the curve there is a drive way off to the right. Well the hill is pretty steep, so we got going pretty fast. as we got to the curve there was a motorcycle turning into the drive way, and i guess he looked up the hill, and didnt see any cars, so he just gunned it to make it into the drive way. Elder Naef was about 40 feet infront of me, and he said that he barely missed the guy, and then he had to bunny hop a colvert, and go through someones drive way trying to slow down, well for me i missed the guy by like 2 or 3 yards, and i was drifting on my bike trying to not get hit. Looking back there was no way i should have missed him. I know i was be watched over and protected. then my last Miracle for Saturday is An Elder serving in Fort Scott called me, which was my first area, and he was telling me about a lady that i started teaching, and how she was getting baptized. It was really cool, but then he told me that he ran into a lady named Shannon, and her son Xavier. Me and my companion gave her son a blessing because when we were there he had recently been diagnosed with Autism. I remember the blessing being very spiritual, but Shannon was not interested in becoming a mormon so she never contacted us back. That Elder when he ran into her found out that a month later after the blessing she took her son into the Doctor, and the Autism was completely gone, and he started to learn to talk, and to read, and write. I am so glad i got to be apart of that, because its probably the coolest thing of my life. Then on Sunday Easter was great. We got Two huge meals, and it was a blast. Then we were visiting a part member family, and the 5 year old boy said the funniest thing in his prayer. He said "and bless that the preditors go somewhere else to find their food". I about died laughing at him, but that was my week. I Love Yall

March 21, 2016

Hey Yall
This week was a pretty fun week. On last monday we went hiking, and it was a blast. We had a few other missionaries with us, and we had one of our investigators with us. We climbed to the top on this rock hanging over a valley, and it was awesome. Then on Tuesday we had a zone Conference in Tulsa. It was pretty good, but it was really long. It started at 8:30 and didnt get over until 4, so it was kinda a long day. Wednesday nothing to crazy happened, we just did our normal thing, but on Thursday we met this guy named big will, and he was the funniest/ most inappropriate person i have met. He was so funny to talk to. Then on Friday we were driving the car on some dirt roads, and i guess we hit a rock wrong or something, and our tire started to leak air. We called the guy who is in charge of our cars, and he told us that if we could we should go to the closest firestone because we have a national account with them. so We had to drive to Fayetteville. It is about a hour and 15 minute drive, so we stopped about ever 20 minutes and put more air in the tire. It was fun. Then on Sunday we were looking for a less active for our bishop, and the address he gave us didnt exist, so we knocked on the closest door. It ended up being a house that had like 12 torn apart double wide trailers, at least 20 broken toilets, thousands upon thousands of car parts, and 10 dogs all on the front lawn waiting for us.  Now you know when you seen those old one bedroom wood housed that have holes in the walls, and the roof is half caving in, and it is all covered in Tarps well the only reason we knocked on this house is because the porch light was on. When we knocked this guy yelled one minute. When he finally came to the door he just was putting on some pants. It was kinda awkward because clearly this guys was butt naked when we knocked, but he was nice. his name was lester, and he said he had lived in that same house since he was born, and he was 65, so it was cool to see that, but honestly i thought he was going to answer the door, and start shooting at us. But ya its been a great week, and i love yall

March 14, 2016

Well this was a good week. On Tuesday i went on exchanges to Wagoner Oklahoma With Elder Harris. Elder Harris is the big guy that i went on Exchanges with a long time ago. He is 6'8" and is huge. It was a pretty fun day. Then on Thursday for some reason the District leaders had to go to Bentonville for MLC and my companion is a District leader, so i went on Exchanges with Elder Wisden in Forest Ridge. He is a good kid, but he is way goofy. It was a pretty good day i guess. On Friday night we got invited by the sister missionaries to bring our investigators to a movie night at the chuch with members and investigators. We watched the Movie 17 miracles , and it was so awesome.  Then on Saturday  we had a member come out with us all day, and it was a killer day. We taught like 8 lessons and gave two blessings, and this one investigator named Maddi is getting really close to being baptized. She is super cool. Sunday was kinda a slow day. We still had a great night, we taught lessons during the night, but the day was slow. Well the was the jist of my week I love you all

March 7, 2016

This week was pretty good i guess. On Monday we went to Fayettville because Elder Naef wanted to go and visit there, and we had some members give us a ride, so it wasn't a big deal. Well some crazy stuff went down while we were there, and we had to stay for a long time because a baby in the ward down there drowned,  and they gave her CPR she is in the hospital right now, and is doing ok, so it was really crazy. Then on Tuesday we went on Exchanges, and Elder Shore came over to Tahlequah with me. We had a pretty good day. We got a new investigator, and we taught a ton of lessons. Elder Shore is kinda a weird guy, but he had a good time together. On Wednesday it was a pretty normal day.  ON Thursday we woke up early and drove to this old cool bridge and watched the sun rise. On Friday there was a baptism in an area close by, so we went to it. It turns out there is a guy who lives in Muskogee Oklahoma is from Gunnison. His name is Roger Gail, and his parents live in Mayfield. So that was cool to meet him. Saturday a less active asked if we wanted to come and judge a robotics competition so we went and did that. It turns out it was the Oklahoma high school State competition. so i was a state championship judge for a high school robotics thing. It was way cool. then on Sunday after church we had a baptism. It was a boy whose mom was a less active member, but now she is coming back and her son is 10, so we got to be apart of it. It was really awesome. that was my week. I love yall

February 29, 2016

Hey Yall So this week was a hard week. I had to say goodbye to everyone in Cassville. It was really hard actually. I didn't think that saying goodbye would be that hard, but it honestly was. I was hoping the week would be slow, but it went by so fast. I hope that sometime soon i will get to serve around there again, so i can go and visit some of those wonderful people there. When i got to Tahlequah I honestly didn't know what to think. We have a really nice apartment, and i have my own Bathroom which is nice. I really like my companion. the only thing i dont like about him is he loves to bike, and im fat, so that is rough! ;) but really he is good. The people here are mostly older, so that is kinda weird, but its alright. The only really cool thing i can think of that happened since i got here is week is yesterday we were out biking, and our appointment feel through, and we had nothing to do so we prayed and asked Heavenly Father for a guidance, and a for a miracle, we both thought we should go tracting so we knocked on a few houses, and we got 2 potential investigators, and we taught one lady the restoration, and she told us to come back, so it was so cool to see God answer our prayer. That was most of my week. Thank you all for everything, and I love all of you

February 22, 2016

So this week was an interesting week. On Monday we paintballed with some youth, and then we went fishing with some members. It was a blast. It was one of the best P Days so far. Then the week was honestly a really basic week. We did teach a lot more than what we were doing before. We hit the standard of excellence which is some goals that our mission president sets to try and teach so many lessons, and stuff like that, and we got it. It was really awesome. then on Friday night we drove down to Bentonville to stay over with the assistants. We had a conference in Tulsa so we didnt want to wake up as early so we spent the night there. We still had to wake up at 4 am. then we got on a bus and drove to Tulsa. The conference was amazing. Elder D Todd Christofferson was there, and i really like him. I learned a ton, and i even got to shake his hand, but the day soon went from happy to sad. Saturday was also transfer calls, and i am getting Transferred to Tahlequah Oklahoma, and im really really sad to leave Cassville. I really have loved it here, but i guess i am called to go there for a reason. my new address is

Tahlequah, Oklahoma 74464
I love yall

February 15, 2016

Hey Yall
This week was a pretty good week. On Tuesday we finally got our phone, but because the old one doesn't work we cant transfer contacts. So We get to start all over with that. It kinda makes it a new adventure. Then on Wednesday we got to eat at the Sherwoods house. They are one of my favorite families here. They also brought a friend over, and we taught her the restoration. It was sweet. Then on Friday Elder Day and I decided to walk. We walked to a ladies house and then to the church. We walked over 5 miles, and so we had Brandon Burns come out with us and give us a ride. Then we had a valentines social, and it was so much fun. we laughed the whole time. Then Saturday came around, and we decided to go walk again. This time when we were almost to town a car drove by and started cussing up a storm at us. it was honestly kinda funny. we had a really unsuccessful day. No one would let us in. we decided we would try one lady that we knew wouldn't let us in, but we both had a feeling to try her. While we were walking there a car that was driving by tried to door us. and then not 30 seconds later I waved to another car and he just flipped us off, so it was a really good time. me and elder day were laughing pretty hard at it, because what else could we do? Then we are almost to that ladies house and we pass a care center and some people waved us to come over because they recognized us, their mom was dieing and she already had a blessing, but they wanted us to come pray with their family. That was really cool and really fun, but that is about the extent of my week. I love yall
