September 28, 2015

I know I say this a lot, but we really had a boring week. we did a lot of tracting and had no success except on Thursday when we handed out 4 book of Mormons. we are going to go try by them people later tonight, or tomorrow. Hopefully we can get something going here. but we have been playing basketball all day today so im super tired right now. but one thing that ive learned this week is we all need to be disciples of Jesus Christ. that means that if someone else is struggling rather than push them down pull them up. anyway I  love you guys

Hey yall
Well if you remember my email from two weeks ago i said i had some poison ivy and it went away, well little did i know that it did not. it got really bad last monday and i broke out in hives all over my arm. that was really fun, but i got it taken care of, and it is slowly going away. But how we got the hives to go aways is very interesting. THis guy burnt an onion, and rubbed it all over my arm. the swelling and itching almost instinatly gone away. it was really crazy. We have had a very busy week. last sunday Elder Whitby had to be in joplin at 4 so we drove down there and then drove back up to fort scoot. then on monday we played flourball. So we had to be in joplin at 9:30 in the morning. Then we drove back to fort scott. then on tuesday Elder Whitby had to be in Bentonville at 8 in the morning so we left fort scott at 5 in the morning and meet in joplin at 6:20. Then i had to go with Elder Burkhart to neosha which is another half an hour away. and me and him spent the day there. We tracted all day. WE just walked and walked. Then after all that driving  i thought we were done. but i was wrong. we had to drove to joplin on saturday because it is stake confreence this week so we had to be there for the adult session. THis week has been great though. a investigator who dropped us is talking about meeting with us again which is so great. i would like to invite you to read a poem called "The Touch of the Masters Hand" i dont remember who wrote it, and i would quote it for you, but it is way to long. Yall need to read it, because it really is so good. I love yall

September 14, 2015

This week was kinda a slow week. I forgot to tell you that last week we had transfer calls and I am staying in fort scott with the same companion. So that should be exciting. Really though this week has been really slow and it has rained so much. We went to all of our potentials and they all said they were not interested. Hopefully we get something going, but I just wanted to share a scripture real quick it is Mosiah 7:33 But if ye will turn to the Lord with full purpose of heart, and put your trust in him, and serve him with all diligence of mind, if ye do this, he will, according to his own will and pleasure, deliver you out of bondage.so we just need to put our trust in the lord and everything will work out I love you guys

September 7, 2015

Well on Monday we went to Joplin just to play basketball as a zone, and go to lunch together. It was a lot of fun. We played forever. Then on Wednesday I went on exchanges with the zone leaders. I went to Joplin with elder brown who is from bountiful Utah. It was a good time. It was crazy there was people who actually liked missionaries there. It was really nice to go out and do that. then on Thursday we were driving home and we just got to pittsburg Kansas which is 30 miles south of fort scott when the elders from parsons Kansas called and asked if we could come help them move. Parsons is 45 miles west of pttsburg. so we drove 0ver there and helped them. It took forever so we didn't get done moving them until 9 at night so we just spend the night there. Well now to get to the point of poison ivy. on Saturday we were doing service for the church, and we were clearing out some weeds. Well I was just down in the middle of everything hacking away, well turns out there was some poison ivy in there and I didn't notice it until I was almost done, so I ran up to the church and washed my arms off. The good news is I only got a miner rash that went away already. The bad news is I got 2 chigger bites. a chigger is a little bug that lives in the grass, and its bite is like a mosquito bite on steroids,. But that was my week remember that its not just missionaries who can do mission work. Never pass on an opportunity to share the gospel
I Love Yall have a great week
