Hey Everyone! This week was a pretty good week!
Monday- It was a good day on Monday! We went over to Sallisaw to be with the Elders there! We didnt really do anything to exciting! We mostly just threw a football around! After Elder Hawkins came to Poteau with me! That was a ton of fun! Exchanges are always good!
Tuesday- We went to the Food Pantry, and it was a pretty slow day! It was still kind of fun though! We also were able to teach 3 recent converts afterwards which was way good to have them all in a row! I also took the opportunity to take Elder Hawkins up the highest hill in the world! He seemed to really enjoy it!
Wednesday- We had district meeting, and let me tell you it was something! Usually I like to keep my district meetings at an hour! Well our zone leaders gave me a ton of announcements! Then while I was giving them everyone Kept asking questions! The announcements alone took an hour and 15 minutes, so that was really an interesting meeting! After we exchanged back! We went to a Recent converts for dinner, and it was pretty interesting! She needs to learn a lot of things about the way the church works! She wants everything to be her way every time, and it is not always like that! We did have a good meal though! Wednesday was also a crazy day! It was my 666th day as a missionary! Nothing crazy happened thank goodness!
Thursday- We had our planning session on Thursday! That was about as rough as normal ;) Planning is just not my thing! We had a family move out on Thursday, and they were the most perfect move possible! They had everything boxed up, organized how they wanted it, and in the garage when we got there! All we did was help them move it up into the truck! It only took 30 minutes! It was so great!! We usually go over to this less active family named the Lewis family on Thursdays, and this week we were able to give the husband a blessing! That went really awesome, and I really feel like they are close to coming back!
Friday- We woke up to a super gross smell in the apartment! After some investigation we found it to be our fridge! We had to clean that stuff out immediately! We found food that I am pretty sure was dated BC! There was some nasty stuff in there! We were able to meet with Matt! He is one of our investigators! He is so cool! We had a really good lesson about the Plan of Salvation with him!
Saturday- We had another family move out on Saturday! This is a bad example of what to do! They told us to be there at 9 am! We showed up at 9 just as they were leaving to go get the truck! They asked us to wait, so we did! After an hour of waiting we called them! The told us they were just gettig to where they needed to be to get the truck, and that they would be another hour and a half! Needless to say we didnt end up waiting! We also found out that they were not packed up at all! So please if you are going to get help moving! Be like the first family! We did quite a bit of fishing on Saturday! We went with a Part member family! I caught my first Cat fish! It was a ton of fun!
Sunday- It was church on Sunday, and that was pretty fun! Honestly I was to excited to pay attention because after church I got to skype my family! The call was super great! It was much needed!
Well those are my highlights for the week! I just wanted to make a note that today is my 22nd month mark, so that is super crazy!! You guys have a great week!
